Entertaiment

Article About Entertaiment

Something affording pleasure, diversion, or amusement: The ball was an elaborate entertainment. An agreeable occupation for the mind or a diverting activity: Solving the daily crossword is my entertainment. Hospitality or the giving of entertainment: A restaurant primarily provides food and entertainment for its guests.

The concepts of entertain and entertainment have become very flexible over time, adapting to any scale or context—from a single person using pre-recorded entertainment in the privacy of their own home, to social events or public performances for thousands. Despite this flexibility, some forms have proven to be resilient—for example, slapstick humor, dance, and poetry.
